Verom is a technology platform. We provide AI-powered tools for immigration compliance review, application assistance, and attorney-applicant matching. Verom does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or immigration legal services. Any legal services are provided directly by independent, licensed immigration attorneys who use our platform.
Verom is not a law firm and does not practice law. The platform and its AI tools do not provide legal advice. Using Verom does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Verom. Specifically:
If you need legal advice specific to your situation, you must consult a licensed immigration attorney. Verom can help you find one through our attorney marketplace, but the legal relationship is exclusively between you and your chosen attorney — not with Verom.
Warning about "notarios" and immigration consultants: In the United States, only licensed attorneys and BIA-accredited representatives are authorized to provide immigration legal advice. Anyone else offering to provide immigration legal services (sometimes called "notarios," "immigration consultants," or "visa consultants") may be engaging in the unauthorized practice of law. Verom only connects applicants with licensed attorneys or credentialed representatives.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Verom. By creating an account, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Applicants use Verom to prepare immigration applications, upload documents, and optionally connect with attorneys. Applicants understand that Verom's AI tools provide guidance and compliance checking, not legal advice.
Attorneys are independently licensed immigration lawyers who join the Verom network to receive client referrals and use our case management tools. Attorneys set their own fees and are solely responsible for the legal services they provide. Attorneys must maintain valid bar membership and comply with all applicable professional conduct rules.
Employers use Verom's compliance dashboard to manage workforce immigration records, track visa expirations, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Verom uses artificial intelligence to assist with application review, compliance checking, document analysis, attorney matching, form population, petition drafting, and RFE response generation. By using these tools, you acknowledge and agree that:
Attorneys on the Verom platform are independent professionals, not employees or agents of Verom. Verom does not:
Attorney fees are set independently by each attorney. Any attorney-client relationship is formed directly between you and the attorney. Verom facilitates the introduction and provides the communication and case management tools, but is not a party to the attorney-client relationship.
Conflicts of interest: Attorneys on the platform are responsible for conducting their own conflict checks before accepting any case. Verom provides a conflict-check tool to assist attorneys, but the ultimate responsibility for identifying and disclosing conflicts rests with the attorney.
Attorney confidentiality: Communications between you and your attorney through Verom's secure messaging system are subject to attorney-client privilege. Verom has implemented technical controls to protect the confidentiality of these communications. Verom employees do not read attorney-client communications except as required by law or upon a verified court order.
Fee-splitting: Verom charges attorneys a platform fee for marketplace referrals. This fee is structured as a referral/technology fee and has been designed to comply with applicable bar rules. Attorneys are responsible for ensuring their participation complies with their jurisdiction's fee-sharing and referral rules.
Verom may charge fees for certain platform features. Attorney fees for legal services are separate and set by each attorney individually. All fees will be clearly disclosed before you commit to payment. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers.
All content, features, and functionality of the Verom platform (including text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by Verom and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.
You retain ownership of documents and information you upload to Verom. By uploading content, you grant Verom a limited license to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide our services. We will not share your documents with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree not to:
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." VEROM MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE PLATFORM'S RELIABILITY, ACCURACY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEROM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FROM VISA DENIALS, APPLICATION DELAYS, OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED INFORMATION.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Verom, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator, in English, in the State of Delaware. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial.
Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive the right to participate in class, collective, or representative actions. This class action waiver is a material term of these Terms.
Small claims exception: Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies.
Consumer protection exception: Nothing in this arbitration clause limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws or your right to file a complaint with a government agency (such as the FTC, CFPB, or state attorney general).
EU/UK users: If you are located in the EU or UK, mandatory arbitration and class action waivers may not be enforceable under applicable law. In that case, disputes may be resolved through the courts of your jurisdiction, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Verom is committed to making our platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to comply with applicable accessibility standards. If you experience an accessibility barrier on our platform, please contact us at accessibility@verom.ai. See our Accessibility Statement for more details.
If you are a consumer located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under applicable consumer protection laws. These Terms do not limit any statutory rights you may have under EU or UK law, including rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA), the Electronic Commerce Communications Act, and other state consumer protection statutes. Nothing in these Terms waives any rights you may have under California law. If you have a complaint about our services, you may also contact the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Attorney Network Agreement (for attorneys), Escrow Payment Terms (for marketplace participants), and any other policies incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Verom regarding your use of the platform and supersede any prior agreements.
